Hafið Bláa is located by the Óseyrar bridge, between the towns of Þorlákshöfn and Eyrarbakki. We recommend a visit to the charming seaside village of Eyrarbakki, just 5 minutes away. It is a small village, but rich with history. It is home to one of the oldest wooden houses in Iceland, built in 1765, as well as a number of other homes that are over or nearly 100 years old. You can find accommodation at Bakki Hostel & Apartments in the heart of Eyrarbakki. You can also ride a horse on the beach with Bakkahestar or book a kayaking excursion in Stokkseyri, just a few minutes more down the road. You can also enjoy birdwatching at Flói Nature Reserve, just outside the town of Eyrarbakki. For more ideas, see the DiscoverEyrarbakki website.
